A research institution for South African commercial knowledge.
B Research Institution organises publicly available information about South African organisations, industries, institutions and commercial activity into a searchable knowledge library. The aim is to make South African commerce easier to discover, understand and study — for researchers, entrepreneurs, policy teams, investors and the public sector.
What we do
Crawl public websites, clean the content, index it for search and generate AI-assisted summaries of organisations and sectors.
What we don't do
We do not scrape private, login-protected or restricted content, and we do not present AI summaries as verified facts. Every summary is clearly labelled.
Open to all SA domains
South African organisations operate across .co.za, .org.za, .gov.za, .ac.za, and increasingly .com, .africa and other international domains. The library indexes any verifiably South African organisation.
How information flows through the library
A simple, transparent pipeline that turns scattered public web pages into structured, searchable knowledge.
